KEY FACTS
The Heritage Academy Media Science Department works towards creating the right knowledge base to nurture future media professionals. For this it focuses on imparting three basic skills:
- Critical thinking skills,
- Knowledge of current events, and
- Ability to communicate through words, images, audio, video and other means.
The TIP (Theory Internships and Practical) approach to media science programme has been carefully designed to give an undergraduate student the requisite opportunities in making films, advertisements, blogs et al. The focus will be on developing their skill sets to enable them to enter the media industry or pursue higher studies.
SCOPE & CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The Bachelor programme grooms students for careers in different areas in media. Through mandatory internships and projects, the students get an understanding of how the media world works. Each of the course specializations opens up doors to careers in the following sectors:
- Print Media and Publications
- Radio, Television and Broadcast Media
- Advertising and Public Relations
- Graphics, Animation and Special effects
Apart from the professional scope, it also opens up avenues to explore specialized higher studies in the field of media and allied arts. Meritorious students are sure to find placements in leading media houses in the industry.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Lecture and Tutorial Rooms
Classrooms are very spacious, airy and equipped with overhead projectors and modern teaching aids. Separate tutorial rooms are also available for special classes. Model classrooms are fitted with LCD Projectors and white screen.
Computing Facilities
The Academy has implemented an IT network infrastructure with well LAN connection and internet connectivity of 64 Mbps leased line. All students are provided with unique Email IDs to give them access to Academy related information.
