The College offers the 3 year (6 semesters) B.A /B.Sc./B.Com (Honours) courses of studies under CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) prescribed by the University of Calcutta in the following:
3-year Bachelor of Business Administration
3-year Bachelor of Computer Application
3-year B.Sc. in Media Science
2-year M.Sc. in Media Science
All the courses are affiliated to the MAKAUT, WB.
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA):
With the growth in the Indian economy, there is an increasing need for management professionals skilled in managing business situations both in India as well as in the Global markets. Pass-outs of this course may opt for higher studies like MBA in India and abroad or become entrepreneurs to start their own business. Job opportunities are also there in Retail, Banking, Insurance, BPO and KPO Industries.
Eligibility Criteria:
Passed 10+2 Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or equivalent and having English as one of the subjects at the 10+2 level.
Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA):
India witnessed unprecedented growth in IT and ITES Sector. As a result there has been tremendous need for Computer Professionals for catering to the needs of the industry, both in India and aboard. Pass-outs of this course can either acquire higher qualifications like MCA, MS and MBA in India and abroad or become an entrepreneur to start their own business. Job opportunities are also there for them in IT and ITES industries.
Eligibility Criteria:
Passed 10+2 Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or equivalent and having English and Mathematics / Statistics/ Business Mathematics / Computer Application / Computer Science / Information Practice / I.T. as subjects at the 10+2 level.
Bachelor in Media Science (BMS):
The Bachelor program grooms students for careers in different areas in media. Through mandatory internships and projects, the students get an understanding of how the media world works. The specializations in print, television, radio, advertising and public relations, graphics and animation help the students choose higher studies in the respective area.
Eligibility Criteria:
Passed 10+2 Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or equivalent and having English as one of the subjects at the 10+2 level.
Masters in Media Science (MMS):
Masters in Media Science graduates enter careers in the media, cultural and creative industries. Areas of work include television and radio, film and video, digital media, computer games, journalism, writing and publishing, PR and media practice.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for admission in M.Sc in Media Science should have 50% in aggregate in graduation and can be from any discipline.
Common Admission Tests ( CET):
Admission to Non-AICTE professional courses (UG, PG) of MAKAUT, WB is made through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University.
The detailed Admission Procedure will be followed as per University guidelines.
