Noting the 10th year of The Heritage Academy, a grand celebration was organised to mark this milestone. Members of the Board of Trustees congratulated the team of The Heritage Academy. Students, Alumni and Faculty participated in a cultural programme.

HAFF 2018
Day One commenced with a panel discussion. The topic of discussion read: Realism in Ray’s Films”. The eminent personalities from the industry who graced the panel were Mr Ujjwal Chakraborty, Mr Barun Chanda, Ms Paromita Biswas and Ms Alokananda Roy Banerjee, noted Director Nandita Roy.
On Day 2 there was another panel discussion, the topic of which read: “Are short films the Future?”. The panellists were Dr Sudipto Chatterjee, Mr Amit Sen, Mr Rabiranjan Maitra, and Mr Chnadril Bhattacharya. Also, team members of the then-upcoming film “Guptodhoner Sandhane”, Director Dhrubo Banerjee, Actor Abir Chatterjee and Producer Arindam Sil, graced the event by their presence.
The Heritage Academy Convergence 2018
Convergence is the induction programme of The Heritage Academy for BBA, BCA, BMS and MMS courses. Rita Bhimani, Arindam Sil, Prof. (Dr.) Basab Chaudhuri, Parambrata Chattopadhyay were the guests who addressed the fresh batch of students for Convergence 2018.
Ad Adda 2018
The first day started with the event being inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Gour Banerjee, Principal, and Prof. (Dr.) Madhupa Bakshi, Dean, Dept. of Media Science, and Mr. Probir Roy, Director, KalyanBharti Trust. Right after the inaugural lamp was lit, the department’s first-year students performed a musical show for the audience. It was followed by the Ad Jingle competition, which was judged by Ms. Indrani Chakraborty, VP, Eastern Zone, Radio Mirchi and Dr. Chitra Bagchi, Heritage Business School. The next competition was the Film Marketing, where students had to come up with marketing strategies to promote the film Byomkesh Gowtro. The judges for this were none other than the director himself, Mr.Arindam Sil and Mr. Joy Basu, Creative head, SVF. The Ad films made by the participants were also screened. The last competition for the day was Brand Pitching where students pitched a 360-degree marketing plan for our clients, Drunken Monkey and Club Mahindra.
Then we moved onto the Panel Discussion with Mr. Sujoy Roy, Managing Partner (creative) Ogilvy & Mather, Mr. Arindam Basu, Director, Carpe Diem Communique and Mr. Amit Sen, Professor and Director. The topic for the Panel Discussion was “Are Adam & Steve ready for the Indian Media?” which was moderated by Dean, Prof. (Dr.) Madhupa Bakshi.
